Why Use Spartan AI?

UNCG is providing Spartan AI to give the University community a secure, university-supported way to use generative AI.

Spartan AI provides several benefits:

Multiple AI models in one place. Choose the model that best fits your task.
Support for University work. Use AI with University information, including L3 and L4 data.
UNCG-managed infrastructure. Spartan AI runs within UNCG’s Microsoft Azure cloud environment.
Protection from model training. Prompts and data used within Spartan AI are not used to train AI models.

Go to Spartan AI (spartanai.uncg.edu).
Sign in with your UNCG account.
Choose an available AI model.
Start a conversation. Get Curious. See where it takes you.

Use Spartan AI responsibly. AI use for coursework is governed by your instructor’s policies and may be prohibited in some classes. Review your instructor’s AI policy before using AI for coursework, and ask your instructor if you are unsure. All coursework remains subject to UNCG’s Academic Integrity Policy.

Remove identifying details when they aren’t needed, ask if you’re unsure whether information is appropriate to use in Spartan AI, and review AI-generated content for accuracy. See Security and Compliance Considerations for UNCG AI Tools for more guidance.
